Community guidelines
Share things you made in Buildable, describe them honestly, and keep people safe. These rules apply to every published design, its title, description and picture.
Share what you made
- Publish designs you made in Buildable or remixed from another design. When you remix, say where it started.
- Use a title and description that say what it is and what it does.
Be honest about what is proven
Buildable marks what was computed, what is estimated and what is still a concept. Keep that honesty in your words: do not call a design tested, certified, waterproof, safe for children or medical-grade unless you have proof from the physical world, and say so plainly when you do.
Not allowed
- Weapons, weapon parts or accessories, explosives, or anything designed to hurt people or animals.
- Devices for watching, tracking or recording people without their consent, such as hidden cameras or covert trackers.
- Designs meant to break the law, get around safety systems or copy-protection, or make illegal goods.
- Products that claim to diagnose, treat or prevent disease.
- Copies of other companies' products, logos, characters or brands that you do not have the right to use.
- Hateful, harassing, sexual or violent content, in the design or its words.
- Personal information about anyone, including yourself: addresses, phone numbers, faces of other people.
- Spam, advertising and misleading links.
Take extra care with risky parts
Mains electricity, lithium batteries, heaters, lasers, moving blades and pressure can injure people. If your design uses them, say so in the description, and do not present it as ready to use.
Reporting and removal
If you see a design that breaks these rules or infringes your rights, write to with its link. We may remove designs that break these guidelines or the Terms of Service, and may stop repeat offenders from publishing.
